New Year’s Eve in the Forest
What we did on New Year’s Eve… Out here in the forest, we don’t really notice any fireworks, and this year we even skipped our usual tradition of setting off a single rocket against the evil spirits of the new year 😉 Why? Because we realized we don’t need it! Our life is great, not always easy, sure, we argue so much that it ‘explodes’, but we are the makers of our everyday life, and if an “evil spirit” should appear, then we’d rather tackle it head-on… Since we skipped the rocket, nothing was on TV and we were tired from work… we went to bed at 10 pm 😊
Starting the New Year
On the first day of the new year, we woke up refreshed and fit, making the same good resolution we always make: to make this year 2024 the best year of our lives 😊
Bugsy’s Minor Surgery
Otherwise, the new year started with Bugsy having a minor surgery on his belly to remove a cyst. Just like before my shoulder surgery, he had already been given special vital nutrients in advance to speed up the healing process. The surgery went great, and he really enjoyed the attention and extra cuddles that day 😊 He’s already moving around as if nothing happened, and next week the stitches will come out.
Weather’s Whims
Once again, the weather showed us how quickly it can change, and so within 48 hours, we had everything from 20 cm of snow to heavy rain and endless wind.
That’s the weather when Frank has to start plowing at 4 am 😂
Nature
For me, it’s always heavenly when it’s really cold and the sun comes out… because then I get the most beautiful ice motifs 😊 We don’t want to withhold these photos and a few other impressions from you!
Coming to the End

14. Jan. 2024 – Einfachheit zelebrieren: Ein ruhiger Jahresbeginn 2024 umgeben von Natur
Hallo Zusammen,
Wir hoffen, Ihr seid gut ins neue Jahr gerutscht und wünschen Euch nur das Beste, verbunden mit Gesundheit und, dass immer ein neues, spannendes Abenteuer oder Erlebnis auf Euch warten mag, das Euer Leben bereichert!
Silvester im Wald
Was wir am Sylvesterabend gemacht haben … Hier draußen im Wald bekommen wir ja gar nichts mit von irgendwelchen Knallereien, und wir haben dieses Jahr auch darauf verzichtet, unsere übliche eine Rakete gegen die bösen Geister des neuen Jahres zu zünden 😉 Warum? Weil wir festgestellt haben, dass wir das gar nicht brauchen! Unser Leben ist toll, nicht immer einfach, klar, streiten wir auch, dass es nur so knallt, aber wir sind die Macher unseres Alltags und wenn mal ein „böser Geist“ auftreten sollte, dann packen wir ihn lieber direkt bei den Hörnern und …. Da wir auf die Rakete verzichtet haben, im Fernsehen nichts lief und wir müde von der Arbeit waren … sind wir um 22 Uhr ins Bett gegangen 😊
Start ins Neue Jahr
Am 1. Tag des neuen Jahres sind wir erholt und fit aufgestanden und haben als einzigen, guten Vorsatz genau den gefasst, den wir immer fassen: auch dieses Jahr 2024 zum besten Jahr unseres Lebens zu machen 😊
Bugsy’s kleiner Eingriff
Ansonsten fing das neue Jahr damit an, dass Bugsy einen kleinen Eingriff am Bauch hatte, wo eine Zyste entfernt werden musste. Ebenso wie vor meiner Schulter-OP, hatte er schon vorsorglich besondere Vitalstoffe bekommen, um den Heilungsprozess zu beschleunigen. Die OP verlief super, und er genoss die Aufmerksamkeit und Extra-Streicheleinheiten an dem Tag sehr 😊 Er bewegt sich schon wieder, als ob nichts wäre, und nächste Woche kommen die Fäden raus.
Launen des Wetters
Das Wetter hat uns wieder einmal aufs Neue gezeigt, wie schnell es wechseln kann, und so hatten wir innerhalb von 48 Std. von 20 cm Schnee bis zu Starkregen und Wind ohne Ende alles, was man sich vorstellen kann.
Das ist dann so ein Wetter, wo Frank dann morgens um 4 mit dem Schneeschieben anfangen muss 😂
Natur
Für mich ist es natürlich immer himmlisch, wenn es richtig kalt ist und die Sonne rauskommt … denn dann bekomme ich die schönsten Eismotive 😊 Diese Fotos und noch ein paar andere Impressionen möchten wir Euch nicht vorenthalten!
Wir kommen zum Ende
Vielleicht geht’s Euch wie uns … wo sind nur die ersten zwei Wochen des neuen Jahres geblieben?
Ja, dieser Blog war kurz und knapp, aber keine Sorge, so wird’s in Zukunft nicht bleiben 😉 und, um es mit den Worten von Mark Twain zu sagen
